Former Post Office

On your left is a former Post Office, now the Royal Mail Sorting Office. This building was designed around 1900.

On your right past this building you come to the start of North Street which goes back towards the Market Square.

South Street and North Street were previously called Fore Street and Back Street and were originally joined by many closes or passageways.

You pass a mixture of old buildings with ornate doorways and some more modern buildings.
